Med resultatet av tidsstudien och datainsamlingen gjordes en beräkning av hur mycket tid som behövs för att hinna med dagens produktionstakt.

BT Products avdelning för slangtillverkning har i dagsläget problem med att klara av dagens produktionstakt. Målet med detta arbete är att identifiera och komma till rätta med dagens problem samt förbereda avdelningen inför en taktökning från dagens 50 000 till 60 000 truckar per år.  I arbetets första skede gjordes en beskrivning av nuläget. Detta genom att observera och aktivt delta i arbete på avdelningen, intervjua personal, samla in data och göra en tidsstudie. Med resultatet av tidsstudien och datainsamlingen gjordes en beräkning av hur mycket tid som behövs för att hinna med dagens produktionstakt. Beräkningen visade att drygt hälften av den tillgängliga tiden borde räcka för att klara denna och att maskinernas kapacitet gott och väl räcker till.  De problem som identifierats som orsak till att produktionen ändå inte hinns med är främst dålig layout, ineffektiva arbetssätt, onödiga arbetsmoment samt planeringsproblem kopplat till eftersläpning i produktionen.    För att åtgärda dessa problem och förbereda slangavdelningen för en 60 000 takt har en rad förbättringsförslag arbetats fram. Ett förslag på en ny layout har gjorts för att uppnå ett bättre flöde i produktionen med mindre transporter och färre onödiga förflyttningar. Ett införande av standardiserat arbete bör göras för att säkerställa att alltid det mest effektiva arbetssättet används. Fler maskiner behöver inte införskaffas för att klara av produktionen, om de inte köps in i syfte att användas som säkerhetskapacitet, men en del hjälputrustning bör införskaffas för att underlätta och förbättra arbetet på avdelningen. Exempel på detta är en bättre slangvinda, streckkodläsare och monteringsutrustning.  .

The aim of the present study was to investigate wind damage in Norway spruce stands in South Sweden in relation to time of the first thinning and different pattern of strip roads (width, length and direction).

To support and empower the patients in their choices, which will affect them for life, is a challenge to the nurse. The nurse is an important character in nursing care when patients take a more active part in treatments. The aim of this literature review was to exam the factors, which influence diabetes care.

Globalization, technology and increasing time and quality-based competition are all driving forces behind the concept and reasons for an increasing interest in supply chain management.The purpose of this essay is to by using a qualitative case study examine which decisive success factors that can be identified for effective supply chain management. To establish sustainability reports is an increasing trend for more and more companies. This has led to a spread of the international framework Global reporting initiative, GRI, guidelines to make a sustainability reports. This trend has got a lot of critics from various stakeholders who believe that companies in these reports communicate the information in a way of window dressing. Both negative and positive information has to be represented according to GRI: s principle of balance.  Window dressing is created by adding a greater emphasis on the positive information. The researchers review the context of the negative information to study the extent to which it is reported and whether there are patterns and variations in the reported information.

The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the publication- and citation patterns of the articles concerning bibliometrics, informetrics, scientometrics, and webometrics which can be found on Web of Science, and give a brief description of how the definition of the four terms has developed. I have looked at how the number of published papers have developed over the years and to what extent they have been quoted by other researchers. I have also briefly adressed what other research fields are referring to articles published in the four areas. The material I looked at includes articles that can be found on Web of Science with one (or more) of the four terms as topic and are categorised under library- and information science starting with the first bibliometrics article which was published in 1969, and ending in 2013. The results show that the publications in all four fields are continuously increasing.

The austenitic stainless steel 316L has been compared to duplex stainless steels to be able to highlight a choice of material for manufacturing of spare tanks used for cooling water at nuclear power stations on the Swedish west coast. In this report 316L and the duplex stainless steels 2205, 2304 and LDX 2404 have been compared according to corrosion resistance, strength, manufacturing aspects and prices. The steels arranged by increasing corrosion resistance: 316L < 2304 < LDX 2404 < 2205. The steels arranged by increasing strength (considering the thickness of the plates needed for construction): 316L < 2304 < LDX 2404 and 2205. The steels arranged by increasing price/tank: 2304 < LDX 2404 < 2205 < 316L.

The difficulty of fully estimating and identifying the spread of the cost in the IT service department is increasing. As a result, firms tend to budget the business unit as a total cost rather than as a spread of defined costs. In order to deal with this challenge an ABC calculation will be applied. The Time Driven ABC model will be conducted in OMX´s Servicedesk unit within the IT services.

The analysis of regional development and the formation of regional policy have experienced an increasing importance in Europe and in Sweden during the last decades. There is a widespread assumption that the increasing significance of regions is due to the diminishing role of the nationstate in the era of globalization. This essay suggests that there is a hegemonic discourse, heavily relying on the assumptions of New Regionalism, when addressing regional building. Sometimes described as an ideology, New Regionalism, which is derived from research of successful regions, is based on the assumption that regional competitiveness and autonomy creates economic growth. The Committee on Public Sector Responsibilities (Ansvarskommittén) suggests that Sweden requires new regional structure, due to the increasing expenditures facing the welfare state.
